Norwegian LNG shipowner stems losses as short charter rates stay at low end

Norwegian LNG shipping company Awilco LNG has managed to reduce its losses as charter rates for modern carriers remained at around $30,000 per day, down from over $100,000 per day in 2012, as demand in Asia was low and arbitrage opportunities were limited.
