Saipem, in consortium with Belgium’s Jan De Nul, has signed a €11 million (US$12.8m) letter of intent with ExxonMobil for preliminary engineering, procurement and technical services for the offshore scope of Mozambique’s Rovuma LNG Phase 1, advancing the project towards a final investment decision (FID) before year-end.
