Our March data showed robust growth in LNG trade driven by higher output across all major producing regions. Meanwhile, global demand increased significantly, with strong uptake in both the Pacific and Atlantic Basins, our Market Editor Dr Alexander Wilk reports.

Snam's Ravenna FSRU terminal has received its first LNG cargo from Flex Artemis and will begin commercial operations in May. The roughly 3.5mtpa capacity facility, positioned at the former Petra platform, is to strengthen Italy's energy security by helping reach 28bln m³ of total regasification capacity.

The Greater Tortue Ahmeyim LNG project has reached another significant milestone with its first ship-to-ship transfer underway, as our shipping data confirms the bp-controlled vessel British Sponsor has positioned alongside the FLNG vessel Gimi for what appears to be the project's maiden cargo export from the West African LNG development.
