Number of US sailings stable

During the week ending 22nd April, 35 LNGCs left US ports, unchanged from the previous week.

Their LNG-carrying capacity was 134 bill cu ft, up 1 bill from the week before, according to data supplied by Bloomberg Finance to the US Energy Information Administration.

Nine vessels departed from Sabine Pass, seven from Plaquemines, six from Corpus Christi, four each from Freeport and Cameron, three from Calcasieu pass, and one each from Cove Point and Golden Pass.

Notably, the new Golden Pass LNG terminal exported its first cargo from Train 1 on 22nd April.

GTT not affected by Middle East war - CEO

French engineering and design group GTT has split the company into two divisions - GTT Energy and GTT Marine.

Spanish TVB prices, representing the value of LNG stored in tanks across Spain's regasification plants, saw a wider discount to the Dutch TTF gas hub than delivered LNG into Northwest Europe and the Mediterranean.

Fluxys moves for more cargoes

Following Belgian terminal operator, Fluxys latest subscription window for annual and long term storage services, which took place in March, 2026 and given the need to fill European storage facilities ahead of the winter, particularly in the current geopolitical context, the company has organised an auction for its remaininggolden standard bundled units (SBUs) for storage year 2026/2027.

In this auction, Fluxys is offering 57,458 golden SBUs for the remainder of storage year 2026/2027, with the service period 1st May 2026 to 31st March. 2027.

Fluxys LNG is also offering two slots to unload, store and regasify LNG cargoes at Zeebrugge for July, 2026.

Auctions will be organised on 5th May for new additional slots, which will start on 9th and 17th July, respectively.

For these slots, Fluxys LNG commercialises the firm rights to unload, store and regasify up to 140,000 cu m of LNG over 10 days.

Fluxys explained that relative costs are lower for larger cargoes, as berthing costs are volume independent and the tariffs for additional send out and storage are cheaper than the basic send out.

Such is the demand to move cargo through the Panama Canal, an LNGC paid $4 mill to jump the queue and avoid a possible five day wait, according to an official record, newswire AFP reported.

Qatar Gas Transport Co (Nakilat) achieved a net profit of QAR439 mill for the first quarter of this year, slightly above QAR433 mill recorded for the same period of 2025.

AG&P to buy Vietnam’s Cai Mep LNG terminal

LNG terminals and downstream infrastructure company, AG&P LNG, a subsidiary of Nebula Energy, is to acquire 100% stake in the Cai Mep LNG terminal, located in Vũng Tàu province in South Vietnam.

This move follows AG&P LNG’s initial acquisition of a 49% stake in 2024 and reflects Nebula Energy’s strong commitment towards Vietnam economic development.

Upon completion of the transaction and regulatory approvals, Cai Mep LNG Terminal Co will become a wholly owned subsidiary of AG&P LNG, with Hai Linh Co fully divesting its shareholding.

The deal remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
