EU keeps Arctic LNG afloat

The European Union imported 69 cargoes of LNG from Russia’s Yamal Arctic LNG project during the first quarter of this year, generating an estimated €2.88 bill in payments to the country, according to Kpler data analysed by German NGO, Urgewald.

Bulgarians to issue LNG tender

Bulgarian state owned energy company, Bulgartransgaz is to issue a tender for LNG supplies.

Russia is offering South Asian countries LNG from its sanctioned facilities at a 40% discount to spot prices.

Australian gas exporters will be one of the only domestic industries to benefit from the global fuel crunch caused by the Middle East conflict.

At a meeting of the European Commission’s Gas Co-ordination Group, the EC, EU member countries and industry representatives discussed the security of EU gas supply, as the disruptions in the Middle East continued.

The second largest US LNG exporter, Venture Global’s subsidiary, Calcasieu Pass Funding, which indirectly controls the Calcasieu Pass project, has signed a $1.75 bill senior secured, term loan B credit facility.
