Royal Vopak, the Dutch company with global energy storage assets worldwide including stakes in LNG terminals, posted an annual loss including exceptional items linked to  the Europoort Terminal in Rotterdam and a floating LNG venture in Colombia in South America.

The LNG and maritime fuel industry marked its largest recent consolidation deal, though relatively modest in scale, as BMS United Bunkers, Bunkernet and SBI bunkering BV said they had entered a definitive merger agreement to create a company called Baseblue to be a future industry leader in marine fuelling.
