Woodside Petroleum, the operator of two LNG export plants in Western Australia, said it had become one of a handful of companies worldwide to simultaneously use more than 1 million virtual Central Processing Units (vCPUs) on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure as part of its seismic exploration of the Greater Sunrise natural gas field in the Timor Sea.
Australian liquefied natural gas producer Woodside Petroleum recovered from a disastrous 2019 second quarter with a jump in third-quarter LNG revenue because the Pluto plant was back on line, though earnings were still lower than the third quarter of 2018.
