May 21 (LNGJ) - UK LNG deliveries are slowly gathering pace with a cargo scheduled this week at the Dragon LNG import terminal at the Port of Milford Haven as prices increase. The UK National Balancing Point market price was last at the equivalent of $9.730 per million British thermal units.
The vessel “Hellas Athina” with 173,400 cubic metre of capacity is scheduled to discharge a shipment at the Dragon facility on May 25. The cargo was lifted on May 12 from the Freeport export plant on the Gulf Coast of Texas.
Oct 27 (LNGJ) - The 261,900 cubic metres capacity Q-Max LNG carrier “Mozah” is scheduled to deliver the UK’s first November shipment. The cargo is set to arrive on November 3 at the UK South Hook import terminal at Milford Haven in Wales from the Ras Laffan plant in Qatar. The shipment was heading for UK shores as the nation’s National Balancing Point (NBP) benchmark natural gas price was last at around $30.50 per million British thermal units.
UK natural gas prices hit a record level as system operator National Grid issued warnings on supply deficits and more coal-fired power was required in the absence of LNG shipments mostly drawn to North Asia by higher spot prices.
Nov 16 (LNGJ) - Two US LNG cargoes are scheduled to arrive at UK import terminals at Milford Haven in the next week with the UK National Balancing Point natural gas price last at the equivalent of $5.15 per million British thermal units after previously being higher. The 161,870 cubic metres capacity carrier “Maran Gas Apollonia” is scheduled to unload a shipment on November 19 at the Dragon terminal in the Welsh port from the Sabine Pass plant in Louisiana. The 180,000 cubic metres capacity vessel “Adriano Kuntsen” is expected to begin discharging a cargo on November 22 at Milford Haven's South Hook facility from the Corpus Christi plant in Texas.
July 21 (LNGJ) - European natural gas prices and LNG indicators moved close to monthly lows as the UK National Balancing Point price and the Dutch Title Transfer Facility price dropped to the equivalent of $1.55 per million British thermal units and $1.60 per MMBtu respectively. One of the next LNG cargoes scheduled to arrive in the UK is on July 27 when the 216,200 Q-Flex vessel “Al Gattara” will discharge its load at the South Hook terminal at Milford Haven, according to the port authorities.
US natural gas front-month futures declined because of forecast milder weather and as storage inventories built up, while European and Asian LNG price indicators continued to be pushed down by over-supply and lack of demand in the Atlantic and Pacific basins because of the global economic slump.
April 16 (LNG) - Three more LNG deliveries are heading for the UK next week, two from Qatar and one from Freeport LNG in Texas, as the benchmark UK National Balancing Point natural gas price has dropped to a new seasonal low, equivalent to $1.85 per million British thermal units.
The 210,000 cubic metres capacity Q-Flex vessel “Al Kharaana” will discharge a cargo on April 21 at the UK South Hook terminal at Milford Haven, the port authorities said. The 266,000 cubic metres capacity Q-Max carrier “Mozah” will then arrive at South Hook on April 22. A third vessel, the 138,000 cubic metres capacity carrier “Sestao Knutsen”, is scheduled to deliver a shipment on April 23 to the UK Dragon terminal from Freeport’s plant on Quintana Island.
