Technip Energies, the LNG and energy engineers, has signed a long-term joint venture services agreement for one of the world’s largest oil and gas fields in the Central Asian republic of Kazakhstan.

Technip Energies, the leading European energy and liquefied natural gas project engineers, reported increased net profits and revenues as the backlog was also boosted by Middle East LNG contract awards in the United Arab Emirates and in Oman.

McDermott International, the US energy and engineering company, said it had received approval for a comprehensive restructuring plan supported by more than two-thirds of all its funded debt creditors.

Novatek, the Russian developer of the Arctic II LNG project on the Gydan Pensinsula, said it signed a deal with Franco-US energy contractor TechnipFMC for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of the liquefaction plant to produce 19.8 million tonnes per annum.

TechnipFMC, the recently merged Franco-US energy and LNG engineering company, reports its second-quarter earnings after the New York Stock Exchange closes on July 26 as its shares dropped following an admission it had made errors in its first-quarter report.

Nov 15 (LNGJ) - French LNG and energy project company Technip has named its latest newbuild vessel for subsea operations “Deep Explorer”. An official naming ceremony for the diving support vessel was held at the Vard Langsten shipyard in Norway. The vessel hull was built by Vard Tulcea shipyard in Romania and then towed to Vard Langsten for equipment outfitting and commissioning. The vessel features a 24-man twin bell saturated dive system rated to 350 metres. Technip is scheduled to underpin its subsea business as it prepares to merge with Houston, Texas-based FMC Technologies Their respective shareholders hold meetings in the France and the US on December 5 to formally approve the $13 billion merger.
