The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection have rejected the Northeast Supply Enhancement project of pipeline company Williams, one of whose customers would be UK LNG importer terminal owner National Grid.

US natural gas front-month futures declined because of forecast milder weather and as storage inventories built up, while European and Asian LNG price indicators continued to be pushed down by over-supply and lack of demand in the Atlantic and Pacific basins because of the global economic slump.
