The former head of LNG for Royal Dutch Shell and one of the early advocates of floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs), Kathleen Eisbrenner, has died at the age of 58 in Houston in Texas.

NextDecade Corp., developer of the Rio Grande LNG project in Texas and other ventures, has agreed to sell convertible preferred stock to funds managed by US equity firm BlackRock after earlier in August selling $50 million of stock to other funds.

NextDecade Corp, the developer of the Rio Grande export plant in Texas and with plans for other pipeline and liquefaction facilities, has opened offices in Singapore and Beijing to serve future customers in Asia.
