One of the most respected meteorologist groups in the United States has forecast in its July update that the Atlantic hurricane season in 2022 will have more major storms than previous years and 10 hurricanes, leading to the temporary shutting of US Gulf Coast oil and gas production and LNG facilities as landfall percentages increase.
Woodside Petroleum Acting Chief Executive Meg O’Neill said liquefied natural gas sales revenue in the first quarter of 2021 jumped 22 percent versus the end of 2020 and the Western Australian liquefaction plants operator achieved record spot LNG cargo prices.
