Kosmos Energy, the partner of BP in two floating LNG projects offshore Senegal and Mauritania, said the front-end engineering and design for phase one was almost completed and the development plan had been submitted to both governments.

Golar LNG, the Bermuda-based fleet operator and project company, has signed a preliminary charter agreement on the provision of a floating liquefied natural gas production hull for the BP-led FLNG venture planned for offshore the West African states of Senegal and Mauritania.

Kosmos Energy, the US company developing floating LNG projects offshore West Africa with BP of the UK, said the governments of Mauritania and Senegal had signed an inter-governmental cooperation agreement to enable the cross-border Tortue natural gas field to continue moving forward.

Kosmos Energy, the US company planning to produce liquefied natural gas with BP of the UK from floating hulls offshore Senegal and Mauritania in West Africa, said in its annual and fourth-quarter earnings that its highlight was drilling an exploration well with total discovered resource of 25 trillion cubic feet of feed-gas.
