The Presidency of the International Gas Union (IGU) for 2018-2021 was officially assumed by South Korea at the start of the 27th World Gas Conference taking place in Washington DC from June 25-29.

The International Gas Union (IGU) said global LNG trade last year reached a record 258 million tonnes, an increase of 5 percent amid significant and dynamic growth on the supply side.

The International Gas Union (IGU) released a report on the crucial role of liquefied natural gas for cleaner marine transport, saying that in Hong Kong for example ship traffic was responsible for half of the city’s emissions of pollutants.
