Kosmos Energy, the Dallas-based company with LNG interests in the West African nations of Senegal and Mauritania and a specialist company for offshore Atlantic Margins exploration and production, has made a successful start-up of oil production at the Winterfell development in the Green Canyon area of the US Gulf of Mexico.
Kosmos Energy, a shareholder with BP of the UK in the delayed floating LNG project offshore Senegal and Mauritania in West Africa, has agreed to sell upstream interests in a portfolio of other frontier exploration assets to a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell for around $100 million, plus future contingent payments of up to another $100M.
