May 16 (LNGJ) - Tokyo Electric Power, the largest Japanese LNG importer, shipped 1.76 million tonnes of cargoes to Japanese terminals in May, an increase of 2.3 percent over the same month a year ago. The May figure was also up from the 1.67MT imported in the previous month, said the utility which is in the process of forming a Japanese LNG purchasing alliance with Chubu Electric.
