French sign Yamal LNG deal

June 2 (LNGJ) - France's Engie, the former GDF-Suez, and Novatek, Russia's second-largest natural gas producer, have concluded an LNG sales agreement for the Yamal LNG project in Arctic Russia where French energy company Total is also a partner. Under the agreement  Engie will receive 1 million tonnes per annum of cargoes over a 23-year period starting 2018. The cargoes will be delivered on a free-on-board basis whereby Engie will supplies the ships. "This represents 14 cargoes per year which will be delivered from Yamal icebreaker LNG carriers at the Montoir-de-Bretagne LNG terminal on the western coast of France," the French company said.
