June 2 (LNGJ) - Hoegh LNG, the LNG carrier fleet owner and project developer, has ordered its eighth Floating Storage and Regasification Unit from Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea. "The vessel is designed to the highest specifications, has full trading capability, regas capacity of 750 million standard cubic feet per day and will be delivered in the first quarter of 2018," Hoegh said. The agreement with HHI also includes a firm-priced option for a ninth FSRU. President and Chief Executive Sveinung J.S. Stohle commented: "Our plan to grow our FSRU fleet step-by-step with the objective to double it by 2019 remains firmly in place. We continue to see strong demand for our FSRU services."
