May 1 (LNGJ) - Exmar, the Belgium-based LNG shipping and project development company, said the Canadian Douglas Channel FLNG export project it is part of in British Columbia is still on track. "The consortium still expects the Final Investment Decision for this asset to be made before the end of 2015," the company said of the barge-based liquefaction project to be located near the town of Kitimat. The partners of Exmar in the Canadian venture are France's EDF Trading and two other shareholders, Canadian energy company AltaGas and Japanese refiner Idemitsu Kosan Co. AltaGas and Indemitsu are also involved in a separate project in Canada called Triton LNG.
