Hoegh LNG in Egypt start-up

April 30 (LNGJ) - Hoegh LNG, the Norwegian LNG carrier fleet owner and provider of Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRUs) to operate as fast-track import terminals, said its "Hoegh Gallant" FSRU completed commissioning tests and has started commercial operations at the Egyptian port of Ein Sokhna in the Gulf of Suez under its five-year contract with Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co. (EGAS). Sveinung J.S. Stohle, President and Chief Executive of Hoegh said: "We are very proud to have commenced commercial operations on our third FSRU in the last six months, which shows the strength and depth of our technical and operational expertise. I am particularly pleased with our ability to deliver the optimal technical solution to EGAS in such a short time and within budget.”
