Engie LNG revenue plunges

April 28 (LNGJ) - French energy company Engie, the former GDF-Suez, said its global natural gas and LNG business generated first-quarter revenues of 1.08 billion euros ($1.18Bln) compared with 1.66Bln euros in the year-before quarter, down almost 40 percent. The company did not say how much LNG it sold by volume. "This decrease is explained by the drop in oil and gas price, but also by the strong decrease of the LNG activity in volumes and prices on European and Asian markets," Engie said.
