In the last few years the European natural gas market has changed due to the new regulatory framework introduced by the European Union Gas Directives on common rules for the internal market.
That’s as worldwide trade in LNG has increased at a rate of 7.7 percent in 10 years and LNG trade to the EU grew at an even higher rate over the same period of 10.6 percent.
