Construction of an LNG plant on the northwest side of Equatorial Guineas Bioko Island began in July 2004. The facility is on a record-breaking schedule from project inception to first delivery of LNG.
The project team has been faced with many challenges typical of those experienced when tackling grassroots facilities in remote locations.
