Dec 18 (LNGJ) - Chart Industries said its latest compact LNG regasification station is now fully operational on-site in Mexico. The station is close to the town of Queretaro and enables natural gas to be supplied to an area that lacked connection to the pipeline grid. Chart added that users are able to use natural gas as a replacement for the less environmentally friendly liquefied petroleum gas. “The regasification station mimics the familiar fueling model of diesel, propane and other LPGs whereby an external provider delivers the liquid fuel via truck for storage on site in a horizontal tank. Chart’s complete system then vaporizes the LNG to supply the end-user with natural gas at the point of use, exactly as if they were connected to the pipeline grid,” said the company. The station was supplied as a skid mounted, fully factory assembled and tested package, which meant minimal ground preparations and civil work.
