Oct 3 (LNGJ) - Israeli energy company Delek, a stakeholder in the Tamar and Leviathan gas fields in the East Mediterranean, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Gazprom of Russia to jointly examine the possibilities of using natural gas as a fuel for vehicles in the Israeli market. “The extensive capabilities of Delek in the Israeli energy market, alongside Gazprom’s intensity in the natural gas field, will contribute to further development of the Israeli natural gas market in general and in particular for natural gas-based transportation,” said Yossi Abu, Chief Executive of Delek Drilling, a Delek Group subsidiary.
