Sep 15 (LNGJ) - Fluxys, the Belgian natural gas transmission and hub operator whose assets include the Zeebrugge LNG import terminal, said liquidity and market depth at the Zeebrugge Trading Point (ZTP) for gas continues to rise. Fluxys added that the pan-European gas trading platform PEGAS, owned by the European Energy Exchange group, has launched a ZTP monthly price index. “The monthly index offers end users and grid users in Belgium an attractive alternative for currently used price references in gas supply contracts,” said Fluxys. “Traded volumes nominated on ZTP rose 54 percent in the first eight months of 2017,” it added. “ZTP also saw a rise in so-called market maker agreements in which hub customers commit to a minimum number of transactions” said Fluxys.
