Sept 6 (LNGJ) - Dominion Energy, developer of the US Cove Point export plant on Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, is making progress with the commissioning process to support first production of LNG in the fourth quarter of 2017. Dominion has been granted permission by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to introduce feed gas and perform related commissioning activities in the pre-treatment and liquefaction areas of the plant and for equipment related to ship loading. Once completed, the single-Train facility will produce a nameplate 5.25 million tonnes per annum of LNG and export to nations such as India and Japan.
