June 13 (LNGJ) - UK energy and utility company Centrica, a capacity holder in the Isle of Grain LNG terminal for current Qatari and future US imports, has agreed to sell its 60 percent stake in the Energy Canada Partnership, an exploration and production venture, to a consortium including MIE Holdings, the Can-China Global Resource Fund and commodity company Mercuria for C$722 million (US$540M) in cash. “The divestment means Centrica’s E&P activity will now be focused solely on European assets, with the Group having completed the sale of its gas assets in Trinidad and Tobago in May 2017,” the UK company said.
