June 7 (LNGJ) - Beach Energy of Australia, which in 2016 completed the all-share takeover of Drillsearch Energy, is seeing the benefits as it underpins its position in the Australian Cooper Basin straddling the states of South Australia and Queensland. Beach has just reported success in the South Australian Gas joint venture in the Cooper Basin with LNG stakeholders Santos and Origin Energy. The first well of the campaign, the Dullingari-43 DW1 intersected 25 metres of net gas pay across a 286 metres section in the Patchawarra formation and some net gas pay in secondary targets. “These results were in line with pre-drill estimates and the well was cased and suspended as a future producer,” said Beach.
