Oct 24 (LNGJ) - Australian Asia-Pacific LNG project stakeholder Santos announced the sale of assets in the state of Victoria to Cooper Energy for A$82 million (US$63M) in cash. The sale, which included a 50 percent interest in the Casino-Henry gas project and 50 percent of the Sole gas field and the Orbost gas plant, will result in Santos exiting from its projects offshore Victoria. Santos, operator of the Gladstone LNG project in Queensland, has already sold the Kipper natural gas field for A$520M. Santos Chief Executive Kevin Gallagher said: “This sale is in line with our stated objective to rationalise and shape our asset portfolio in order to become a low cost, reliable and high performance business.”
