July 11 (LNGJ) - European LNG producer, Statoil of Norway, said it completed a transaction to sell assets in the prolific US Marcellus shale play to EQT Corp. of the US. Statoil said its sale involved “non-core operated assets” in the US state of West Virginia. The transaction covers approximately 62,500 net acres. Statoil retains its operated properties in the US state of Ohio and its non-operated Marcellus positions.
