July 6 (LNGJ) - The Lake Charles LNG export project, whose shareholders include Energy Transfer Partners of the US and Royal Dutch Shell, will proceed on schedule after the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission denied a request from the environmental activist group, the Sierra Club, for a rehearing of the order authorizing construction of the facility in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. This follows two rulings in June 2016 from the Washington DC circuit court against Sierra Club objections to the Freeport and Sabine Pass LNG facilities, also on the US Gulf Coast.
