June 29 (LNGJ) - US LNG equipment maker Air Products said its spin-off company Versum Materials would have its headquarters in Tempe, Arizona, and that the new stand-alone firm would also maintain a workforce in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Air Products, based in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, stated: “Part of the overall strategy for the separate company is for it to be more market-facing and agile” by co-locating its business capabilities closer to the companies it serves. Versum was the Air Products Electronic Materials Division (EMD). “We have existing Electronic Materials production, research and development, and a workforce in Tempe, and our major US customers are located in the Western US,” said Guillermo Novo, who will be the Chief Executive of Versum.
