April 4 (LNGJ) - Chevron Corp. said it had technical issues at the $54-billion Gorgon LNG plant linked to the propane refrigerant circuit on Train 1 of the facility, which began production on March 3 and shipped its first cargo two weeks later. Chevron has said the second shipment of LNG from the Gorgon plant on Barrow Island in Western Australia will be delayed. The ownership structure of Gorgon LNG means each cargo of LNG is delivered to the customers of each of the three partners: Chevron, Royal Dutch Shell and ExxonMobil.
