March 24 (LNGJ) - Angola LNG and EDF Trading, the LNG unit of the French utility Electricite de France, said they entered into a flexible sales arrangement, for the delivery of LNG cargoes from the southwest African nation’s export plant in Soyo. “The arrangement covers the delivery of multiple cargoes from 2016 through to 2018,” the two companies said. The facility, operated by Chevron Corp., has only recently reopened after an extensive shutdown. In April 2014, the Angola plant experienced a failure in the flare blow-down piping system, resulting in its closure for repairs and an upgrade. The Angola plant, located near the Congo River estuary in the north of the country, has a capacity of 5.2 million tonnes per annum.
