Mar 31 (LNGJ) - Toho Gas Co., the Japanese city-gas firm based in Nagoya, signed a preliminary LNG purchase agreement with Malaysian energy company Petronas for between seven and 10 cargoes per annum for a period of 10 years. Toho said deliveries from Malaysia would start in April 2017 and be linked to oil and US Henry Hub prices. Petronas recently renewed supply contracts with Japanese utility Tohoku Electric Power Co. and with CPC Corp. of Taiwan as it expands its Bintulu plant in Sarawak with a ninth Train and develops two Floating LNG production ventures.
