Mar 9 (LNGJ) - The MacGregor subsidiary of Cargotec Corp. of Finland, has secured a contract from the Meyer Turku Shipyard for a complete turnkey delivery of cargo access and handling equipment for an LNG-fuelled ferry under construction for ship operator Tallink in the Baltic state of Estonia. The LNG dual-fuel ferry will comply with the stricter regulations in the Emission Control Area of Northwest Europe that came into force in 2015. The completed vessel is scheduled for delivery in early 2017. "We are very pleased that Tallink and Meyer Turku have selected MacGregor to design, supply and install the vital equipment for this advanced vessel," said MacGregor executive Andreas Behr.
