Feb 25 (LNGJ) - Australian company LNG Ltd., developer of the Magnolia LNG project in the US state of Louisiana and the Bear Head venture in Nova Scotia, Canada, said it expected the US Patent and Trademark Office to issue a patent by April for its Optimized Single Mixed Refrigerant (OSMR) liquefaction processing technology. Company Chief Technical Officer, Paul Bridgwood, the originator of OSMR processing, said it was based on a proven single mixed-refrigerant system. The additions include "conventional combined heat and power recovery, coupled with ammonia refrigeration technology to significantly enhance the plant performance in terms of LNG output and overall plant efficiency," Bridgwood said.
