Feb 18 (LNGJ) - Tokyo Gas, the third-largest Japanese LNG importer, said it would integrate three affiliated city-gas companies into Tokyo Gas from 2016. The company said Chiba Gas based in Sakura City, Tsukuba Gakuen Gas from Tsukuba City and Miho Gas in the Ibaraki Prefecture would become part of the parent company. Japan has about 200 city-gas firms and a consolidation is underway amid market reforms. "Tokyo Gas is constructing a new group formation that will consolidate the required personnel, technologies, know-how and other management resources dispersed at affiliated companies," it said.
