Feb 16 (LNGJ) - Norwegian energy company Statoil and Lithuanian utility Litgas are planning a small-scale LNG supply and bunkering service for the Baltic Sea centered on the Klaipeda LNG import terminal. Litgas said the two companies were studying cooperation opportunities with a view to finalizing an agreement by the second quarter of 2015. "The Klaipeda LNG terminal is the only terminal of such size in the Baltic capable of reloading fuel to smaller bunkering vessels," Litgas said of the plan to supply LNG-fuelled ships and industrial customers not served by pipelines.
