Feb 9 (LNGJ) - Inpex Corp., the Japanese LNG development company with projects in Australia and Indonesia, has sold its natural gas stake in the US state of Louisiana acquired in 2006 despite LNG export projects planned by others in the area. Inpex said it agreed to sell its 25 percent in the onshore block to Sibley Petroleum. The block produces natural gas at the rate of around 3.7 million standard cubic feet per day for operator PetroQuest Energy. "The selling of Inpex's interest in the block is intended to help optimize the company's global asset portfolio," the Japanese company said.
