Feb 4 (LNGJ) - Plans by the UK South Hook LNG import terminal owners, Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and France Total to build a combined heat and power plant within the regasification facility grounds in Milford Haven, Wales, has been deferred due to market conditions. The South Hook terminal is the biggest importer of LNG to the UK. Qatar Petroleum International Chief Executive Nasser Al Jaidah said: "The decision to place the project on hold and to defer the investment decision on the South Hook CHP Project was a difficult one for the shareholders to make and reflects the fact that in the light of today's market conditions all discretionary major investments have to be rigorously appraised."
