Dec 2 (LNGJ) - The 147,200 cubic metres capacity "Arctic Princess" is heading for the US import terminal at Cove Point in Maryland from the Norwegian liquefaction plant at Hammerfest operated by Statoil. The carrier is scheduled to arrive at the terminal on Chesapeake Bay on December 8, according to shipping data. The Norwegian plant was originally envisaged as a supplier of LNG to the US before the shale-gas boom. The Cove Point terminal itself is being transformed over the next few years into an export plant.
