Dec 1 (LNGJ) - Magnolia LNG, the Australian-led export project in the US state of Louisiana, has agreed a $1.98 billion contract for the building of the plant with the US subsidiary of South Korean company SK Engineering and Construction. The contract covers the initial two liquefaction Trains for a total of 4 million tonnes per annum of LNG, two 160,000 cubic metres capacity storage tanks, a jetty and ship-loading facility. Magnolia is owned by LNG Ltd. and plans to expand the plant eventually to produce 8 MTPA.
