Nov 24 (LNGJ) - The Alaska LNG project being developed by ExxonMobil, BP, ConocoPhillips, TransCanada Corp. and the state of Alaska itself has received a permit from the US Department of Energy to export cargoes to Free Trade Agreement countries and is now awaiting a Non-FTA licence for nations such as Japan and China. The liquefaction plant is being built at Nikiski on the Kenai Peninsula. "This FTA licence is good news for Alaska, but by law it had to be approved. The real test is the non-FTA licence," said Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski.
