Turkey boost LNG shipments

Nov 20 (LNGJ) - Turkey has signed an agreement to increase LNG imports from Algerian from 2.95 million tonnes to 3.25MT over 10 year. The deal was signed in Algiers by Turkish  Energy Minister Taner Yildiz and his Algerian counterpart Youcef Yousfi. The country has actual capacity to import over 11MT per annum, more than twice as much as it has been importing. State-owned Petroleum Pipeline Corp. (Botas) dominates the LNG and natural gas sector as operator of gas pipelines. Turkey has two terminals, the Marmara Ereglisi facility and the Aliaga terminal in Izmir.
