Nov 5 (LNGJ) - MEO Australia, developer of the stalled Tassie Shoal Floating LNG venture offshore northwest Australia, plans to merge with Neon Energy to pool their assets and resources. The proposed transaction means the departure from MEO of Chief Executive Jurgen Hendrich, who had held the post since 2008. Alan Stein, current Chairman of Neon, will assume that post after the merger is completed and Peter Stickland, the current exploration manager of MEO, will become CEO of the merged group.
