LNG firms form subsea team

Oct 9 (LNGJ) - LNG engineering companies, Saipem of Italy and Chiyoda Corp. of Japan, whose past recent joint projects include building a new LNG liquefaction Train in Algeria, have joined forces with energy consultancy Xodus Group to establish a standalone subsea company called Xodus Subsea. The aim of the venture is to secure contracts in the growing subsea fields development sector. The companies said Xodus Subsea would provide studies, engineering and consultancy services focusing mainly on the early phase of  projects, such as front end engineering, conceptual studies and basic design.
