Texas boosts output for LNG

Oct 6 (LNGJ) - Estimated natural gas output in the US state of Texas, host to several LNG export projects, was more than 703.7 billion cubic feet in August, according to the Texas Petro Index (TPI) which set another monthly record because of strong drilling, production and permitting activity. With natural gas prices averaging $3.74 per thousand feet, the value of Texas-produced natural gas increased 8 percent to about $2.63 billion. Energy business employment in Texas is also at the highest level since TPI was started in 1995 by economist Karr Ingham
