Sept 15 (LNGJ) - Tokyo Gas, the third-largest Japanese LNG importer, said city-gas sales last month came to about 1.17 Billion cubic metres of natural gas, the equivalent of 868,000 tonnes of LNG, an increase of  8.3 percent compared with the same month last year. The biggest increase was in the industrial sector where sales totalled over 623 million cubic metres, up 16.6 percent. However, prices will fall from October in line with declining LNG prices. Cargo prices on a Customs-cleared basis were $799.74 per tonne in the three months from May to July compared with $814.00 per tonne in the previous three months.
